New Covenant Christian Church at 2201 Osage Street, in North Nashville, is excited to announce its annual Community Day, on Saturday, September 14th, from 11am-3pm. Giving It All Back is the theme of this year’s event, which will offer fun and recreation to the neighborhood residents, while also promoting healthy lifestyles, offering educational information, and sharing employment opportunities with a local company.
This year, United Neighborhood Health Services is partnering with New Covenant to provide free health screenings with a licensed Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Howard A. Aubert, MD is partnering to offer free prostate screenings for men. In addition, a Bridgestone Corporation representative will be on site to accept job applications, Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority is offering free bus passes to senior citizens, and multiple community service vendors will be present to meet the needs of infants, children, and adults.
There will be free food, games, arts & crafts, face painting, and a bounce house. Prayer rooms will be provided for families desiring prayer and spiritual guidance. Door prizes will be given away, but you must be present to win.
An afternoon concert will feature the NCCC Praise Team, Men on a Mission, and local gospel recording artist, Keesha Rainey.
