The organization focuses on empowering and equipping clients through comprehensive education programs alongside traditional financial services.

Talley’s gained international recognition for his Cognitive Economics integration methodology, which combines financial psychology with behavioral economics and financial education on an unprecedented scale.

Educational initiatives include the 1863 App, featuring 10 self-paced financial literacy modules.

The 1863 Collaborative projects serve 31,000 participants annually across its expanded footprint, with programs specifically designed for working-class families.

Talley founded Unified-Principal in 2013, Nashville’s first Black-owned private funding brokerage.

UnifiedPrincipal served as a go-to tax practice and advisory for creatives and service industry workers while facilitating $22 million in real estate and business funding and generating $2.4 billion in tax savings for clients.

These experiences with diverse client populations revealed critical connections between economic barriers, insights now driving The 1863 Collaborative’s educational focus across the Southeast.

He serves on the board of the National Financial Educators Council and is a multiple-time honoree of the Financial Times 40 Under 40.
