Cirque du Soleil featured its premiere country show with SONGBLAZERS at TPAC. The show riveted the audience as all ages gasped, laughed and applauded throughout the evening. Each act showcased top notch performances, from live music to stunning dance and gymnastics. And of course, no circus is complete without the humor of a clown. The one liners from the comedian had the audience roaring in laughter. Another performer demonstrated inhuman strength as he pulled a large wagon with fellow performers with his jaws and drove spikes into wood with his bare hands. The musicians were incredible, showcasing various genres including gospel, R&B and of course, country.

“To be asked to make a show about country music is a very daunting task because it’s giant. So, the approach that I took was to go deeply into the history and crafting of a song, which is really key to country music. Telling the truth and telling the story is the beautiful part of country music so that’s what Songblazers is about.” Amy Tinkham – Show Director & Writer

The stage set boasted of a massive train which transported performers throughout the evening, both physically and in imagination. SONGBLAZERS is a must see for all ages as it portrays the magic of music in an action packed show. For tickets, visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/songblazers.
