NASHVILLE, TN — Actor and comedian Jamie Foxx will have a new job next year. The Fox network announced this week that Foxx will host a new musically themed game show.

The show will be a variation on the network’s “The Masked Singer,” but focusing on more participants.

Foxx’s show will be titled “We Are Family.” The premise will feature non-famous members of celebrity families performing duets with hidden celebrities.

Audience members can win cash by successfully guessing the identity of the hidden celebrity performers.

Despite recent reports of health issues, Foxx also recently said there were discussions underway about a possible sequel to last summer’s Netflix film “Day Shift,” which he co-starred with Dave Franco and Snoop Dogg. While acknowledging that Netflix seldom does sequels or second chapters to films, Foxx said there were ideas out there for a sequel and there was a possibility it might happen.

Foxx won an Oscar in 2004 for his brilliant performance in the biopic “Ray” He is also currently starring in the film “Tin Soldier” with Robert DeNiro.

“We Are Family” debuts in 2024, but the network hasn’t yet announced a specific starting date or night it will be shown.
