NASHVILLE, TN –  The Nashville Department of Transportation & Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT)’s Transportation Demand Management program, Nashville Connector, will host a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) summit on Friday, October 10th, 2025, from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The full-day event will bring together transportation professionals, employers, advocates, and policymakers to explore innovative strategies for improving mobility and reducing congestion across the region.

 

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) is the use of policies and strategies to maximize the efficiency of transportation systems leading to improved mobility, reduced congestion, and lower vehicle emissions.

 

The event will feature a robust lineup of speakers and sessions, including:

 

  • Regional and statewide TDM updates
  • A special message from the Mayor’s Office of Nashville and Davidson County
  • A leadership panel with representatives from IndyGo, WeGo Public Transit, NDOT, and the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee
  • A session on transit infrastructure, policy, regional coordination, and funding
  • A focused discussion on TDM strategies for large-scale special events in Nashville

 

Attendees may also participate in networking opportunities and a mobility showcase that highlights local and regional efforts to promote sustainable transportation.

 

“This summit is a chance to connect across sectors and communities to shape the future of mobility in Middle Tennessee,” said Meghan Mathson, TDM Administrator at NDOT and lead organizer of the event. “We’re excited to spotlight the innovative work happening here and across the region.”
