NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Predators aren’t currently playing any games due to the NHL season being suspended because of the Coronavirus/COVIC-19 pandemic, but area hockey fans will get a chance over the next few weeks to recall their greatest triumphs. Fox Sports Tennessee is airing over a seven-week period the 14 games that the team won during the spring of 2017 on the way to the Stanley Cup Final. It’s part of the networks’Golden Classic series, and they will air on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The broadcasts began Tuesday with the opening victory in the Predators’ sweep of the Chicago Blackhawks. All four of those games are being shown. Then those will be followed by the Predators’ clinching victories over the St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks. The telecasts will conclude with the final series against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Predators broadcasters Willy Daunic and Chris Mason, as well as members of the current Predators’ roster will offer insights and memories from the various games. The upcoming schedule will feature Games 2, 3 and 4 from the Chicago series on April 30, May 5 and May 7.

Predators slated to appear as guests include Pekka Rinne, Colton Sissons, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Ellis and Viktor Arvidsson. Though the entire Chicago series will air, the rest of the games shown will only spotlight victories. The Predators made it to the Cup Final, but lost in six games. While hope remains for some sort of resumption to the NHL season, no one knows at this time when it will happen or in what form. This at least gives Predator fans something to watch and celebrate.

The broadcasts begin at 7 p.m. each night.
