Franklin, TN — Pastor Boyce E. Wilkins, Jr. and the members of Shorter Chapel AME Church are excited to announce the Grand Opening of the Shorter Chapel
Food Pantry on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. The opening celebration will take place at the Shorter Chapel Community Life Center, located at 263 Natchez Street, Franklin, Tennessee. During this special
event, Shorter Chapel warmly invites individuals and families in need to visit and receive food assistance.
Rooted in a mission of service, Shorter Chapel AME Church remains dedicated to meeting the needs of the Franklin community. Recognizing the growing challenges of food insecurity faced by many families, the church has taken steps to be part of the solution.
“To whom much is given, much is required,” said Rev. Wilkins. “We at Shorter Chapel feel blessed to be a blessing to our community.”
The Shorter Chapel Food Pantry will be open monthly on the third Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For those needing assistance prior to the regular distribution day, please call 615-807-0653 or email thegiftofluv@gmail.com.
