NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The iconic toy retailer Toys“R”Us is making a comeback in Middle Tennessee this holiday season, opening a seasonal holiday shop at Tanger Outlets Nashville as part of its nationwide expansion.

The new location, now open at Tanger Outlets Nashville in Antioch, is one of several short-term stores launching across the country through a partnership with Go! Retail Group, according to a company announcement issued Oct. 16 by Toys“R”Us parent company WHP Global.

“This next phase of growth brings the magic of Toys‘R’Us to even more communities across the country — just in time for the holidays,” said Jamie Uitdenhowen, executive vice president of Toys“R”Us at WHP Global, in the release. “We’re thrilled to deliver the joyful shopping experience that has made us a trusted destination for generations.”

The Nashville pop-up features this year’s most popular brands — including LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, NERF, and Paw Patrol — and aims to recreate the nostalgic, family-friendly atmosphere that once defined the retailer’s stores.

Go! Retail Group CEO Gideon Schlessinger said the partnership allows Toys“R”Us to “strengthen its presence while meeting consumer demand during the most important season of the year.”

Toys“R”Us joins other new openings at Tanger Outlets Nashville, which opened in October 2023 and features more than 70 stores. Additional Toys“R”Us holiday shops are opening this season in cities including Sevierville, Tenn.; Grapevine, Texas; and Raleigh, N.C.
