NASHVILLE, TN — The Nashville Chapter of Les Gemmes will hold its signature event, Last Summer Fling, Aug. 24 from 2-7 p.m. located at 635 West Nocturne Drive. This event raises funds to support the work of the Jewels, middle and high school girls enrolled in the program.
The Last Summer Fling will feature art, crafts, a silent auction, jazz music and more. The event will feature vendors with sample food from area restaurants, as well as specialty items from entrepreneurs.
This event has been on hiatus since COVID-19, and now returns to extend advocacy and service about the activities of the Nashville Chapter of Les Gemmes, founded in 2004, by Edwina Hefner and Dr. Evelyn Fancher.
Event Chair, Vivian Wilhoite, said, “We are looking for our supporters to attend and just make it a “big family picnic for gathering and sampling the wares of the vendors.”
Those interested in being a vendor, please contact Rene´ Whittaker, at mrenew15@gmail.com or call 615-838-6164.
Tickets are $25.00 each, and all proceeds benefit the programs of the organizations, which include, art, education, health, literacy, and literary works, and the Jewels.
