The new 2019 BMW M850i xDrive Convertible is brilliantly built with a balance of dynamic power, open-top style and luxury. Let’s be upfront. This BMW has a six-figure price tag. But this convertible is worth every penny.  If you want attention, this is your car. Even if it’s just a simple trip for gas, the M850i will have ‘all eyes on you. When you have a ‘seat’ in this car, you will find a 16-way power front M sport seats, including single-piece back panel, 4-way power lumbar support, power side bolsters and backlit M logo integrated into the headrest. The M-specific instrument cluster changes configuration when different drive modes are engaged. The Live Cockpit Professional features a 12.3” instrument cluster, and 10.25” central information display. The multi-input iDrive 7.0 system is operated by voice, touchscreen, and iDrive touchpad Controller.

There’s a 4.4 twin-turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 32-valve V-8 engine, that delivers nothing but raw driving power, with a zero to 60 time of 3.8 seconds. The soft-top convertible uses multiple layers of fabric to also reduce weight and keep unwanted road noise out.

When it comes to agility, the M850i convertible’s standard M Sport Differential and Adaptive M Suspension offers an abundance of agility that yields smooth handling. Impressive 20” M wheels, in double-spoke or star-spoke designs, are an attractive addition to the M8 Convertible.

The 3-spoke leather-wrapped multi-function M sport steering wheel with two configurable M mode buttons and controls for audio system, cruise control, and Bluetooth® wireless communication for hands-free mobile phone.

The entire vehicle has a sport-accented ambiance. Light cascades from the M-specific gear shifter. Merino Leather upholstery looks and feels incredible on the M Sport Seats. The standard Ambient Lighting accentuates the interior in six configurable shades. This ambient lighting includes door handle-area lighting, illuminated driver and front-passenger vanity mirrors, front footwell lights, front and rear reading lights, and 11 predefined selectable interior light designs.

    MSRP:  Starting at about $130,000 and up – MPG: 17/City – 26/Hwy
