The new 2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited AWD SUV is ranked #1 out of 22 in Midsize SUVs, according to US News.com (https://cars.usnews.com/cars-trucks/rankings/midsize-suvs).

For 2023, Hyundai has added new driver assistance technology, including Remote Smart Parking Assist and Parking Collision Avoidance Assist. There’s also a new second-row side impact airbags, with a total of nine standard airbags; 8-way Ergo Power Drivers Seat; three rows of seating, with a 2nd-row bench seat that has up to 8-passenger seating, and the second-row seating offers wing-out headrests and seat ventilation for extra comfort.

Moving back to the front interior area, you will find an instrument panel that’s been redesigned for a more voluminous appearance, which includes new ambient lighting themes. There’s a power Tilt-and-Slide Sunroof or Dual Sunroof 8-inch Color; an 8-inch Touchscreen display; 10.25-inch Navigation System and Harman Kardon® premium audio, to name a few of the long list of amenities, not to mention the latest in high tech safety features, such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning.

Under the hood, the 2023 Palisade, there’s a powertrain with an Atkinson-cycle 3.8-liter V6, dual CVVT, direct-injected engine, for excellent power and efficiency. The 3.8-liter powerplant produces an estimated 291 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm and an estimated 262 lb.-ft. of torque, with all-wheel drive. Palisade delivers that power to the wheels thanks to a refined eight-speed automatic transmission with a multi-plate torque converter and offers both two-wheel and HTRAC® four-wheel-drive configurations. And when it’s time for towing, Hyundai’s HTRAC® All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system is clearly the star of the show. It offers Tow Mode that adjusts the towing powertrain, holding lower gears longer and reducing the frequency of shifting response.

The HTRAC AWD system offers a multi-mode system, providing an electronic, variable-torque-split clutch, with active torque control between the front and rear axles. The driver-selectable modes on HTRAC are: Normal, Sport and Smart modes help provide confident control in all weather conditions.

    THE NUMBERS: MSRP/Starting $47,450  – MPG — 19/City and 25 Hwy
