NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Registration is under way for American Baptist College’s 67th Garnett-Nabrit Lectures (GNL), which will take place March 17-20 at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church, 1203 Ninth Ave. N.

The lecture series is a highlight event for the College each year, attracting speakers and attendees from across the country for workshops and worship services that are thought provoking and enlightening. This year’s keynote speakers include Rev. George T. Brooks Sr., retired pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville; Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, senior pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago; Rev. Dr. Gina Stewart, senior pastor of Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis; and Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley, pastor of Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va.

“The Garnett-Nabrit Lectures provide an invaluable opportunity for students, alumni, faculty, and friends to lean on and learn from one another,” said ABC President Forrest Harris. “As in the past, this year’s sessions will renew attendees in knowledge and spirit as we approach a time of rising uncertainty in our nation and the world around us.”

Workshop topics will cover a range of topics that are relevant for today and beyond. They include:

    • The Moment of Now: Prophetic Preaching in Wildernesses and Deserts
    • Praying with Our Legs: A Radical Response to Project 2025
    • We Are Community: A Blueprint for Justice Ministry in Unjust Times
    • Jesus, Al Green, Gladys Knight, SZA, AI, and Kendrick Lamar: The Call to Cross-Generational Ministry
    • Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community

In addition to the workshops, GNL will include two evenings of powerful worship on Tuesday, March 18, and Wednesday, March 19. Both worship events are free and open to the public.

Registration for the 67th Garnett Nabrit Lectures is $225 and includes breakfast and lunch for all three days of the series. For more information or to register, visit www.abcnash.edu/event/67th-annual-garnett-nabrit-lectures.
