NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The International Black Film Festival and the Nashville Symphony will present RESPECT in Concert on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
The event, which serves as a pre-festival program for the International Black Film Festival, will feature a screening of the film RESPECT accompanied by a live performance from the Nashville Symphony.
The film chronicles the life of Aretha Franklin, following her journey from singing in her father’s church to becoming the Queen of Soul.
The collaboration marks the continued partnership between the International Black Film Festival and the Nashville Symphony. Festival organizers said the event reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to bringing audiences together through film and music.
RESPECT in Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Group tickets are available.
