Tulsa, OK (June 4, 2021) – – Darryn Zewalk announces the release of his newest song, “Impatient,” the first single from his upcoming EP, “Eclectic Praise.” Written by Darryn Zewalk and produced by Andrew Bair, this inspirational single marks the return to the Gospel music scene for Darryn after a long hiatus from the studio.

Darryn Zewalk is an award-winning Christian singer-songwriter, author, podcast host and motivational speaker. He has received multiple awards and honors for his work in Contemporary Christian music, including a Tulsa Music Award in 2017 for Best Overall Artist and Christian/Gospel Artist in 2018. He has ranked #1 Globally on the ReverbNation Christian/Gospel chart for 224 consecutive weeks and has also been the #1 Artist Globally in all genres. Darryn has an ongoing commitment to encourage others through social media, which has helped him amass an audience of more than 300,000 highly engaged followers. A proud native of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Voice, with a minor in Piano from Oklahoma Baptist University.

Recorded during the pandemic, Zewalk’s newest single, “Impatient,” is a tribute to two of his uncles and his father, who sadly passed away in April and June of 2020. In order to honor his father, who was always a strong supporter of Darryn’s music, he chose to release the song on the one-year anniversary of his father’s passing. Darryn said that when he would start getting impatient about things, his dad would always say, “The Lord will take care of it.”

Talking about his father, Darryn said, “In one of our last conversations, he asked me about my music and if I was writing anything during the pandemic. I told him that I was working on some new things, and I was hoping that I would get to share it with him, but God had a different plan.”

Created during the COVID-19 crises, the song also emphasizes the impatience Darryn and others experienced regarding getting back out into the community. This song is personal to him, as it is a testimony of learning that patience is a virtue; learning to always wait on God, regardless of how impatient we become. Darryn admitted that it was challenging recording the single during the pandemic, as they started the process prior to the pandemic and finished it in the midst of everything.

“This song truly talks about my life: how impatient I can be about certain things and how throughout time, God has taught me to wait on Him,” Darryn said. “I pray that its message ministers to you. When you trust that things are in God’s will, life is much easier to live.” Darryn’s prayer is that listeners hold on to God regardless of the situation they may be going through.
