Veteran actress Rhonda Stubbins White, best known for starring in NBC soap opera “Days of Our Lives” has died following a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 60.

“To the friends of Rhonda: It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend Rhonda Stubbins White. She was an amazingly talented woman, full of positivity and energy, and grounded by her faith,” her friend and producer Todd Baker wrote on her Facebook page Thursday. “We were all fortunate to have known her and shared her short time on this earth.”

A Brooklyn native with 35 acting credits to her name, White passed away at her home in Los Angeles. The entertainer hit her stride a decade after graduating from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1982 when she scored an appearance in a 1992 episode of NBC’s “Here and Now,” the Daily Mail reported.

The actress was a Brooklyn native who later relocated to Los Angeles.

After that, she relocated to the West Coast, where she continued to rack up credits, including in shows from “ER” and “NYPD Blue” to “The West Wing,” “Crossing Jordan” and “The Comeback.”

Today she is best remembered for her recurring appearance on the NBC daytime series “Days of Our Lives,” where she played the character Lady Vi. She also played a schizophrenic woman in 1994’s TV movie “Out of Darkness,” which co-starred Diana Ross. More recently, she played the cult leader of Agnes on Tyler Perry’s BET show “Ruthless.”

Other highlights of her career include a CableACE Award nomination for actress in a movie or miniseries for her 1993 role in the HBO miniseries “Laurel Avenue.”

According to Baker’s Facebook post, a memorial is being planned to include a possible Zoom livestream.
