KNOXVILLE, TN —  It was a scene reminiscent of the festivals held on the World’s Fair Site 40 years ago.

Food vendors lined the lawn of the Worlds Fair Site under the shadow of the Sunsphere. It was the second year of the Knoxville Caribbean Jerk Festival and on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the park once again was filled with the sights, sounds and smells of delicious foods,  fun and laughter

The festival had doubled in size from its inagural year. There were twice as many vendors and more activities for the whole family.

Spade tournaments, cook- offs, rides, games and prizes filled the lawn. Music filled the air as one after the other,  live musicians took to the stage as children played across the lush green grass and those in attendance settled into their chairs to chill and enjoy the day.

The Knoxville Caribbean Jerk Festival was enjoyed by many last Sunday.
There were lots of games for the children to enjoy.

Twice as many vendors participated this year.
Culture from the islands was presented in food and dance.
