    Acura RDX A-Spec

The new 2022 Acura RDX A-Spec® comes with an aggressive turbo-charged style design. Stand-out features include massive 20-inch five-spoke Shark Gray alloy wheels; an aggressive front bumper complete with LED fog lights. This new SUV goes even further with dark exterior trim accents, a matte-black diffuser, dual exhaust outlets—add to the demeanor, all of it proudly finished with prominent A-Spec badging.

In the RDX A-Spec styling begins at the steering wheel. Front and center, it’s the most dominant feature, so we outfitted the RDX with an A-Spec sport steering wheel finished with race-inspired paddle shifters. It’s a styling attitude furthered at the driver’s feet with eye-catching metal sport pedals, as well as throughout the cabin, with red ambient lighting and a silver-faced instrument panel that glows red.

When you enter the RDX A-Spec, comfort is found immediately in a selection of fine leathers. You can choose either the exclusive red leather interior complete with luxurious black Ultrasuede® inserts or a full-black leather and Ultrasuede combination. Both leather selections are finished with precision crafted sports-oriented stitching.

Of all the amenities inside the RDX, two of the finest are space and silence, which is why every RDX is equipped  with an ultrawide panoramic roof, to dramatically fill the cabin with comforting light and increase its sense of space. It’s also why we triple-sealed the doors, used acoustic glass, and even engineered Active Sound Control to cancel out unwanted noise.

Performance isn’t just about horsepower.  The RDX offers plenty, with 272 horsepower. But there is much more to the story. The new direct-injection, all-aluminum, VTEC® turbo engine is also a revolution in low-end torque. Red-light-to-green-light go power is perfectly mated to a 10-speed transmission and is instinctively connected to your desires through Sequential SportShift paddle shifters.

Developed on the most demanding tracks and roads around the world, the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) delivers superior performance and control in high-performance driving conditions, even when the weather and road conditions are far from high performance. SH-AWD is already renowned for its ability to create a stable driving platform by instantly distributing power to each wheel based on wheel speed, steering angle, lateral G-forces, and yaw rates, but we thought we could make it even better. Rain and sun, snow and sleet, track-perfect corner after snow-covered corner after gravel-filled corner, there’s new improvement both in the torque capacity and torque vectoring. There’s a chalkboard-filling equation that turns the RDX into one of the best-performing vehicles on the road, regardless of the road.

Choose Snow mode for those snow days you just can’t stay inside, Sport+ for those weekend days when you want to conquer  mountain road terrains, and Comfort when all you want to do is cruise home after a day at work.
