NASHVILLE, TN — As part of its mission to give back to Tennessee communities, Advance Financial’s charitable arm, the Advance Financial Foundation, provided volunteers and donated school supplies to four Tennessee back-to-school events: 1) The Sixth Annual Love’s Healthy Start Festival, 2) the Third Annual Shoes for School presented by Urban League of Greater Chattanooga and Enterprise Rental, 3) Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS) Southeast and Dee Davis Foundation’s Fourth Annual Back to School Community Day, and 4) 880 La Ranchera 1300 and 1240 Activa 105.1FM radio stations’ back to school event.

Sponsored by Tennessee State Representative Harold Love Jr., Love’s Healthy Start Festival was held on Saturday, July 28th at Hadley Park in the North Nashville community, where the Foundation provided 11 volunteers, 600 backpacks and many other school supplies.

The Advance Financial Foundation also participated as a booth sponsor at the Third Annual Shoes for School event presented by Urban League of Greater Chattanooga and Enterprise Rental on Saturday, July 28th. The volunteers played cornhole and other fun games with the children and handed out enough school supplies for 400 children.

Additionally, the Foundation sent eight volunteers to the Southeast Community Center in Antioch on July Sunday, July 29th for MNPS Southeast and Dee Davis Foundation’s Fourth Annual Back to School Community Day. Volunteers handed out 1500 backpacks filled with school supplies – 500 of which were donated by the Foundation.

Finally, Advance Financial Foundation was the Title Sponsor for La Ranchera 880 and Activa 105.1FM radio stations’ back to school event on Sunday, July 29th at Plaza Mariachi on Nolensville Pike. Attendees were also given school supplies for the upcoming school year.

“School supplies can be very expensive, so we wanted to take the financial pressure off parents and children before they start the new school year,” said Shantrelle Johnson, executive director of the Foundation and VP of community outreach at Advance Financial.

“We hope that by giving them the supplies they need and showing them that going back to school can be exciting, we can empower kids to work hard and reach for higher goals.”

The Advance Financial Foundation was created by Advance Financial in 2014 to support philanthropic community efforts in education, health and more. The Foundation has partnered with more than 35 local organizations including the 18th Ave. Center, the Financial Service Centers of America (FiSCA) National Scholarship Program, Nashville Adult Literacy Council and Begin Anew. It also supports Advance Financial employees in need of assistance through its Corporate Care Fund. It provides financial assistance to employees experiencing temporary hardship and is funded by employee donations that are 100 percent matched by Advance Financial to cover housing, utility, healthcare and other necessary costs in times of unexpected need.

Founded in 1996, Advance Financial is a leading multi-state fintech company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Family owned and operated, the company is aggressively investing in the expansion of its market presence. In keeping with its vision of a world-class customer experience, Advance Financial is delivering instant lending decisions and brick-and-mortar money services 24/7/365.
