Nashville Soccer Club announced today an expansion to its partnership with WeGo Public Transit to improve the ridership experience to and from games. The partnership is part of WeGo’s Community Impact Partnership (CIP) program. On regular season home weekend games, passengers can ride for free all day on routes 52 Nolensville Pike and 77 Thompson/Wedgewood. Additionally, route 84 Murfreesboro will be available from Murfreesboro and Antioch park and rides for $2 each way. NASHVILLE –WeGo Public Transit is closing out 2023 strong with an increase in ridership. There were 1.8 million more rides on our services in comparison to last fiscal year. WeGo Public Transit has promoted Lydia Benda to Director of Engineering, Construction, and Project Management and Kia Lewis to Senior Project Manager. Benda joined WeGo in 2018 and has been managing infrastructure and stop-improvement projects at sites across Davidson County as part of the ongoing WeGo effort to improve both rider experience and increase transit service. She previously served as Traffic Engineer in the Traffic Management Center in Kane County, Illinois. Benda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.
