NASHVILLE, TN — Dustin Greene has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., effective February 1, 2020. Greene currently serves as chief executive officer (CEO) of sister facility TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tenn.

As CEO of TriStar Skyline, Greene will be responsible for operations at the 278-bed hospital as well as TriStar Skyline Madison, a 121-bed behavioral health hospital, and related care areas serving communities in and around Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

“Dustin’s strong strategic and financial acumen, along with his commitment to quality patient care and building an internal culture of highly engaged colleagues make him an ideal fit for this position,” said Heather J. Rohan, President of HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Division. “I am confident that he will continue to build on the great legacy established by the physicians and staff at TriStar Skyline Medical Center.”

For the past five years, Greene has led the TriStar Horizon team during a time of significant facility growth. Under his leadership, the facility has expanded its clinical capabilities through recruitment of key physicians, earned level III trauma designation, opened a Level II Neonatal ICU, expanded interventional cardiology, and opened a free-standing ER at the Natchez campus.  Through this expansion, Greene was also recognized for top-tier performance within HCA Healthcare for employee engagement, staff retention, and many additional key quality measures.  Greene’s 18-year tenure with HCA Healthcare has included serving as COO at TriStar Skyline Medical Center and as COO at HCA Healthcare’s Eastside Medical Center in Atlanta, Ga, area.

A Nashville native, Greene is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Samford University and his MBA from Belmont University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and serves on four community and not-for-profit boards.

“I’m excited to be returning to TriStar Skyline Medical Center in this new role and look forward to working with the excellent physicians and staff to continue providing access to quality, compassionate care that meets the needs of our patients,” said Greene.

Greene replaces Steve Otto, who announced his retirement at the end of 2019.
