NASHVILLE, TN — Last week country music legend Kenny Rogers held court with the press to announce his retirement from live touring and shows. The music icon revealed that after 60 years of performing, he now wants to spend more time with his wife and twin sons, age 12. But Kenny will leave his millions of fans a night to remember. On October 25, 2017 (Bridgestone Arena), Rogers will do a farewell concert with an all-star studded lineup of top singers from various genres of music.

This one-night-only concert event, titled ALL IN FOR THE GAMBLER, will bring together fans, friends and music icons to celebrate Kenny Rogers’ final farewell to Nashville. All In For The Gambler will feature performances by Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Alison Krauss, The Flaming Lips, Idina Menzel, Jamey Johnson, Elle King and Kenny Rogers along with many other special guests to be announced in the coming weeks. When asked how does he think he will feel when the final song is done for this very special show, Kenny was transparent and reflective during the press conference. “You know, I really don’t know. I really don’t. This is something I’ve been doing for 60 years. I don’t know what else I’m going to do. Like it or not, I really do plan on being home and spending more time with my boys. (Justin and Jordan). But I’ve got some big plans on some other projects that will be a step up from what I’m doing now but I can’t yet reveal those details,” Kenny shared with the media.

This farewell concert will be the final time that Kenny and fellow country music superstar Dolly Parton share the stage to sing their classic hit “Islands in the Stream” originally written by the Bee Gees for Marvin Gaye. The song went on to hit the number one spot on Billboard for Kenny and Dolly in 1983.

In a career that has spanned more than six decades, Kenny Rogers has left an indelible mark on the history of American music. His songs have endeared music lovers and touched the lives of millions around the world. Chart-topping hits like “The Gambler,” “Coward of the Country,” “Through the Years,” “Lady,” and “Islands in the Stream” are just a handful of Kenny Rogers’ songs that continue to inspire new generations of artists and fans alike. Rogers, with twenty-four number-one hits, is a six-time CMA Awards winner, Country Music Hall of Famer, three-time GRAMMY® Award winner, a recipient of the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2013 CMAs, and has been voted the “Favorite Singer of All Time” in a joint poll by readers of both USA Today and People.
