(Los Angeles, CA), – On Friday May 6th, Black-owned streetwear brand, Homme+Femme, sponsored Steve Wilson’s Derby eve party at 21C Museum Hotel benefiting the Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund. The evening included a performance by Guest of Honor, Jack Harlow. Homme+Femme created exclusive t-shirts for all attendees designed by Homme+Femme Content Director, Sarah Katz. Notable attendees include, Founder of 21C Museum Hotels Steve Wilson, BBC Executive Valerie Bruce, Kentucky Mayoral Candidate Craig Greenberg, and Kentucky sports radio personality Matt Jones among others.
| LA based streetwear brand, Homme+Femme, recently launched their first ever collaboration with Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby. With designs created to elevate the rich and historic traditions of the Kentucky Derby through the unique, modern lens of streetwear fashion, Designer Drew Evans pulls from the legacy of Black horsemen and the Kentucky Derby. This was used as a main source of inspiration recognizing that 15 of the first 28 winning jockeys of the Derby were Black. The collection includes letterman jackets, workout blazers reminiscent of varsity sweaters, t-shirts, and trucker hats offering an inclusive entry point into the world of elite horse racing.
