NASHVILLE, Tenn. (TN Tribune) — Feed America First, a non-profit organization based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, announced its continued partnership today with the 2nd annual Lifest Music City festival. The organization believes this alliance will raise awareness of the need that is growing across the state of Tennessee. Last year alone, donations of food to the Middle Tennessee area increased by over 40% last year, donating over 26 million pounds to individuals and families in need.

Lifest Productions works year-round to provide opportunities and assistance for those in need, whether it be education, mental health needs, food, counseling, and more. “Feed America First is a key partner of ours at Lifest Music City. We strive to seek partners that continually bring positivity and hope to the community. Be sure to check them out and bring a donation, every little thing helps,” says Life Promotions President and Chief Visionary Officer Bob Lenz.

A festival highlight is the ‘prayer walk’ through the serene pastoral landscape of Storytellers Farm that is led by the volunteers and staff of Feed America First.

Feed America First Executive Director Mike Womack says, “We are excited about the opportunity of partnering with Lifest again this year. Once again it gives us an opportunity to bring a spotlight to hunger relief. Hunger is a real problem in our country and if we all will choose to not allow our neighbors to go hungry, we believe we can eradicate hunger.”

“Combining prayer with action will truly help put a stop to hunger in Middle Tennessee. We invite everyone who attends Lifest to take part in this prayer journey that will not only help feed our neighbors in need, but also be an enriching time of prayer for your entire family. And who knows, maybe some of the headlining artists at Lifest might even stop by to volunteer right along with you as well,” continued Womack.
