NASHVILLE, TN — The newest documentary series from the production company of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama explores the workplace.
In fact, Obama is also the narrator, host and principal interviewer for the Netflix docuseries “Working — What We Do All Day.” It debuted last weekend, President Obama visited three workplaces and interviewed workers doing various tasks to get their views on their jobs. The series will also explore the gap between what should be considered ideal conditions and pay versus the reality of their experiences.
The series runs four episodes and is in the same production mode and style as last year’s five-part Netflix documentary series “Our Great National Parks.” The new series has gotten largely positive reviews. The promo trailer debuted online earlier last week.
The Obamas signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to both produce and host documentaries and projects through their company Higher Ground in May of 2018.
The long list of awards won by the company includes an Oscar in 2020 for Best Documentary for “American Factory.”
“Working — What We Do All Day” is now streaming on Netflix.
