Candice Storey Lee, Malcolm Turner

Vanderbilt made sports history again Tuesday when it named former standout student-athlete Candice Storey Lee, (left),
as interim vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs and interim athletic director, effective immediately. She
succeeds Malcolm Turner (right), who resigned as vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs and athletic director
earlier Tuesday. Lee becomes the first Black woman athletic director in both Vanderbilt and SEC history. She has served in various positions at Vanderbilt for nearly 20 years, most recently as deputy director of the athletics program since 2016.
