2019 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0T Final Edition SE

The 2019 Volkswagen Beetle 2.0T Final Edition SE is the last production year of the iconic Volkswagen Beetle, exactly seven decades after it first came to the United States in 1949. But the legendary Bug is going out in style!

The Final Edition has unique wheels. Drivers can choose either a 17-inch aluminum alloy with a 15-spoke pattern or an 18-inch alloy “disc” design with white trim, similar to the body-color wheels of original-generation Beetles. This rear spoiler on the SE gives it a sleeker edge to the overall appearance of the car.

Among the many other touches, all Beetle Final Edition models offer available driver-assistance technology.

The Final Edition SE features  VW Car-Net App-Connect, 9 a Käferfach heritage-inspired glovebox, and seats with diamond-quilted design. For an encore, enjoy a Beetle nameplate on your hatch and brushed steel pedals. Inside, there’s a leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel that helps you to be in control of the road, your music, and more. Adding to its already sleek interior style, the retro-modern gauges add a touch of its iconic heritage while still providing the essentials you need.

What’s the point of owning a VW Beetle without a ray of sunshine? The power tilting/sliding panoramic sunroof opens to help give you maximum exposure to the sun or if preferred, moonlight driving.

To further speak of driving, as the owner of two previous Beetles, this SE Final Edition has amazing acceleration than previous editions. And that’s thanks to the 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic® and Sport mode. The 6-speed automatic transmission offers acceleration and smooth gear changes. But if you’re looking for more control, shift manually in Tiptronic mode and, to enhance your experience, drop it into Sport mode to amplify the fun.

There’s also keyless access that lets you lock, unlock, start, and drive your car without ever having to take your keys out of your pocket. Press the brake and push the start button, and your engine’s running and ready for action.

    THE NUMBERS:  MSRP: about $23,940 – MPG:  26/City – 33/Hwy
