The lightweight aluminum-intensive body structure of the 2020 Jaguar XE is extremely robust and, together with a double wishbone front suspension and an Integral Link rear suspension plays a key role in the vehicle’s exceptional handling. Aluminum makes up 75 percent of the XE body structure and combines with proven rear-and all-wheel drive systems, plus an advanced four-cylinder engine for dynamic handling and performance.
Standard on all XE models is the Jaguar Drive Control interface which is also featured on the Jaguar F-TYPE. The sportscar-inspired toggle switch on the center console allows the driver to choose from four settings for the steering, throttle response and gearbox: Comfort, Eco, Rain/Ice/Snow and Dynamic. Activating Dynamic mode amplifies the car’s sporting character, with faster gear shifts, sharper throttle response and increased steering weighting.
The newly designed interior makes greater use of soft-touch materials throughout the vehicle. The redesigned interior door panels, center console sides, upper instrument binnacle and top section of the dashboard are all wrapped in premium finishes. The luxurious veneers also extend to the rear cabin.
