Jeffrey Osborne gets his “woo-woo” groove on.

NASHVILLE, TN — A capacity crowd filled the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to witness a night of amazing R&B music, as two of the genre’s most beloved artists, Jeffrey Osborne and Peabo Bryson, put on a show that proved they are still very much at the top of their game. Both gentlemen in their early 70s, dazzled the crowd with their powerful voices and stage presence, bringing back fond memories of silky-smooth soul music.

Grammy nominee Jeffrey Osborne performed selections from his illustrious solo career, which included “On the Wings of Love,” and of course the infamous “You Should Be Mine (The Woo Woo Song),” always a crowd favorite. In fact, Jeffrey walked down the aisles sharing the mic asking audience members to sing the song’s classic line –“Can you woo-woo-woo?” Yes, Jeffrey, it’s “Music City USA”; lots of music talent was in the house that could woo-woo, for sure!

Up next was Grammy Award winner Peabo Bryson. Known for his classic Disney tunes including “Beauty and the Beast” and “A Whole New World,” Peabo Bryson headlined the evening with favorites like “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again,” “Can You Stop the Rain” and “Let the Feeling Flow.” Peabo shared that he will be releasing a brand new collection of songs early next year, and gave the audience a preview of what to expect from the upcoming new 2024 release.
