FW Publishing announced Tuesday it has hired media industry veteran Eddie Tyner as president and chief executive officer.
The Nashville-based company is home to the Nashville Post, Nashville Scene, Nfocus and the Williamson Scene.
Tyner will oversee the four publications.
He replaces Mike Smith, former president and publisher of FW Publishing, who announced his departure from the company this week after nearly three decades. Smith’s departure was reported by the Nashville Scene.
According to the Nashville Post, Tyner most recently served as both chief commercial officer and executive vice president for media giant McClatchey.
He has experience in advertising sales, e-commerce, and media business and operations.
His resume also includes stints with Gannett, Cox Automotive and Tribune Publishing Company. At Gannett, he served as a regional president (and vice president of sales) and as president of the Detroit Free Press and Michigan.com.
