NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville General Hospital (NGH) has earned the Full Transparency Badge from The Leapfrog Group, recognizing the hospital’s commitment to publicly reporting information about patient safety and quality through the 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Survey.

The Full Transparency Badge is awarded to hospitals that complete, affirm, and submit every section of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, one of the nation’s leading voluntary reporting programs focused on patient safety, quality, and transparency. By fully participating, NGH gives patients and families clear, meaningful information they can use when making decisions about their care.

Beginning July 24, 2026, the badge appeared next to NGH’s results on Leapfrog’s Hospital and Surgery Center Ratings website, and the hospital is featured in search results that help visitors easily identify hospitals committed to open, complete reporting.

“Being recognized for full transparency reflects a simple belief we hold every day, that the people we serve deserve honest, open information about their care,” said Cathy Pool, Senior Director Marketing & Patient Experience, Nashville General Hospital. “Sharing our performance publicly holds us accountable and helps our patients and their families make informed choices with confidence.”

Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group, commented: “We applaud Nashville General Hospital for its commitment to transparency. Transparency is one of the most powerful drivers of improvement in health care. By fully participating in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, Nashville General Hospital is helping patients and families access meaningful information about the safety and quality of their care.”

Full participation in Leapfrog’s reporting is part of NGH’s broader commitment to patient safety, quality, and health equity for every member of the community it serves.

Patients and families can view NGH’s results on Leapfrog’s Hospital and Surgery Center Ratings website at ratings leapfroggroup.org.

For more than a century, Nashville General Hospital has served as a beacon of care, compassion, and accessibility for the people of Nashville. As the city’s essential hospital, NGH is committed to providing outstanding, comprehensive care to every patient, regardless of background or circumstance. With a focus on health equity, patient safety, and community well-being, NGH continues to earn the trust of generations. Learn more at: https://nashvillegeneral.org
