Free event is a part of the Nashville Public Library Literary Award Weekend

WHO: Nashville Public Library and the Nashville Public Library Foundation present the Public Lecture as part of the Nashville Public Library Literary Award Weekend honoring award-winning and New York Times best-selling author Louise Erdrich as the 2022 Literary Award winner.

WHAT: Public Lecture speakers will include Louise Erdrich; Denine Torr, Dollar General’s vice president, corporate social responsibility and philanthropy and executive director of the Dollar General Literacy Foundation; Shawn Bakker, president of the Nashville Public Library Foundation; and Terri Luke, interim director of Nashville Public Library. The event, which is free to the public, is made possible by Literary Award Presenting Sponsor UBS and sponsors Dollar General and Carol and Bobby Frist.

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. (doors open to the public at 9:30 a.m.)

WHERE: The Public Lecture will be at Martin Luther King Jr. High School located at 613 17th Avenue N., Nashville, TN 37203. The event will also be streamed virtually through Facebook Live and at the Bordeaux, Green Hills and Madison branches for additional access to the event.
