NASHVILLE, TN — The National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) is making waves this Black History Month with its captivating Soul Food Sundays, a weekly celebration of African American music, culture, and culinary heritage.

Every Sunday throughout February (except February 11th), the NMAAM invites visitors to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of African American music and enjoy a feast for the senses. From 1:30 PM to 4 PM, guests can indulge in soul food classics provided by Barr’s Music City Soul Food while reveling in live performances by local artists and choirs.

The inaugural Soul Food Sunday, held on February 4th, set the stage for a month-long celebration of musical excellence and cultural richness. Musuem officials expressed their delight, stating, “What an incredible start to Soul Food Sundays at the National Museum of African American Music! “

Attendees were treated to soulful performances and delectable dishes from Barr’s Music City Soul Food. The museum extends its gratitude to the outstanding talents who graced the stage, including Alysha Nesbitt, Shanae Edwards, Cameron L. Mitchell, Gabe Baker, Keytarius CW, Shyla Wade, Dave Ragland, Arielle Bolling, Ethan Freeman, Emmanuel Brunson, Jems Destine, and Andre Anderson.

As the celebration continues, the NMAAM invites the community to join the festivities every Sunday in February (excluding February 11th). Mention your house of faith in person and enjoy a 50 percent discount on museum admission.
