NASHVILLE, TN — The Vanderbilt Commodores open their 2023 football schedule with two home games and will play six games in Nashville including contests against defending national champion Georgia and Auburn.

The season begins with two games they clearly need to win in order to both get the season off to a good start and help in pursuit of a bowl bid.

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors and Alabama A&M Bulldogs are their first two opponents. Both are night games with the opener set for 6:30 pm central and the second for 6 pm. These games are on August 26 and September 2.

The first road game is September 9 at ACC foe Wake Forest at 10 am. The next week they head to Nevada for a 6 pm game against UNLV.

The next September  game is also the SEC opener against Kentucky at home September 23. The time for this and several other SEC games has not yet been determined.

Vandy has a second straight SEC home game against Missouri that concludes the September slate on the 30th.

Vandy hits the road again October 7 as they head to Florida. They are back home October 14 against top ranked Georgia. Following their first bye week, the Commodores face Ole Miss on the road to end October.

Auburn comes to Nashville to begin November.  Vandy goes to South Carolina November 11, then have their second bye week.
