The average price of gas in Tennessee is $4.06
NASHVILLE — It has been broken promise after broken promise when it comes to Tennessee Republicans addressing the sky-high gas prices they are forcing Tennesseans to pay. From their inability to bring down inflation, to adding toll lanes on our highways forcing Tennesseans to pay to get to work, to their unpopular war with Iran and their reckless tariffs, Tennessee Republicans are not only refusing to lower costs but are actively making things more expensive with no relief in sight. While Republican policies have caused gas prices to soar, they’ve also jacked up diesel prices, hitting Tennessee farmers, producers, manufacturers, small businesses, and school districts hard. The average price of diesel has risen to $6.07 a gallon, topping $6 nationally for the first time ever.

“As Marsha Blackburn and Tennessee Republicans continue to help Trump drive up gas and diesel prices to record highs, families and farmers throughout Tennessee are being forced to cut back or spend even more. It’s after Labor Day, kids are back in school, and gas prices are not under $2. Or $3. Or even $4. The average price of gas in Tennessee has risen to $4.06 a gallon, the highest it’s ever been at this point in an election cycle. While Republicans double down on their costly war with Iran and reckless tariffs and costly toll lanes, Tennessee Democrats are fighting to make life better and more affordable for every family in Tennessee.”
