Metro Nashville Public Schools is offering free English classes for adult family members of English Learner students beginning in September.
The classes will be available virtually and in person and are designed to help adult learners improve their English skills while strengthening connections with their children’s schools, teachers and other English Learner families in MNPS.
Classes will be taught by MNPS staff and will support participants as they work toward their work, education and life goals. Participants also will have opportunities to learn more about their school communities and share their own knowledge and talents.
Community partners will provide occasional enrichment sessions to help families learn more about community resources.
Classes will be held once a week from 5:30 to 8 p.m. from September 2026 through April 2027.
Parents and legal guardians of English Learner students who are interested in participating should complete an interest form to be added to the list for classes. The interest form can be completed in the participant’s language of choice.
More information about the program and the interest form are available on the Metro Nashville Public Schools website.
