JOHNSON CITY, TN — Advance Financial, the Nashville-based financial services company, received two Johnson City Chamber of Commerce Regional Business Excellence Awards: first place for Excellence in Community & Culture and second place for Excellence in Customer Experience.

Through its community engagement efforts in 2018, Advance Financial’s Johnson City area employees spent 275 hours volunteering in the community and gave over $7,000 to local charities, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bristol, Mountain Empire and Johnson City.

“We live and work in this community. Our customers are our neighbors,” said Kent Young, Advance Financial Regional Director. “It’s an honor to be recognized by the Johnson City Chamber of Commerce for our community involvement, company culture and customer experience as these are three core pillars of our company.”

Part of providing the best customer experience possible is staying open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The company is able to provide fast lending decisions and services such as money orders, check cashing and Western Union wire transfers when it’s most convenient for the customer.

“At Advance Financial, we strive to be the best in everything we do. We set high company standards and then make it our goal to go beyond. Our teams in the Tri-Cities area are a great example of this,” said Tina Hodges, Advance Financial’s chief executive and chief experience officer. “It’s no coincidence that these awards come together. When people feel valued and rewarded for the work they do, they can’t keep from smiling. Customers see and feel it.”

Advance Financial has four stores serving the Tri-Cities area. Each offers a broad range of financial services. The company’s flagship product, the FLEX Loan, offers an open line of credit that gives customers the freedom of withdrawing cash at any time (up to their credit limit), then paying it back at their own pace with conveniently scheduled payments. Other products and services include 24/7 check cashing, Western Union electronic wire transfers, NetSpend Prepaid Cards, free bill-pay, unlimited free money orders and ATM services.
