    Dedicated Board Member Wanda Lyle Receives Honor

    NASHVILLE, TN — Ascension Saint Thomas Board of Directors and Wanda Lyle, Ascension Saint Thomas Board Vice Chair, have each been recognized for their outstanding commitment to women in leadership at the annual 2023 Power of Inclusion Awards & Board Walk of Fame Luncheon hosted by Nashville Cable.

    Ascension Saint Thomas has been honored with the Board Walk of Fame Corporate Award. This award recognizes organizations whose behavior is a model of inclusion and takes the lead in promoting women on corporate boards. This honor is a testament to Ascension Saint Thomas’ steadfast commitment to fostering diversity and promoting impactful female leaders in board and professional positions. This on-going effort is demonstrated in how differences are valued, individuals are welcomed to serve, and everyone is provided with the opportunity to be heard.

    Additionally, Wanda Lyle, a distinguished leader with over four decades of experience in the financial sector and a decade of Board of Director roles, has been awarded the Board Walk of Fame Individual Award. This accolade acknowledges women who are breaking barriers and driving inclusivity, equity and diversity in our community. Wanda’s notable career and tireless dedication to serving others have earned her a well-deserved reputation as a community leader. Her roles as board chair at prominent organizations, including Ascension Saint Thomas, have set her apart as an advocate for positive social impact.

This award is a testament to our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every individual and patient we are privileged to serve receives the opportunities and highest quality of care they deserve.”

I am grateful to Susan West and her forward-thinking as chair of our Board’s governance committee for cultivating an incredibly distinct group of women who are advancing healthcare in our community.”

    For over a decade, The Board Walk of Fame Awards have been given to women and companies who are taking the lead in increasing the number of women in leadership positions and on boards.
