NASHVILLE, TN — Howard E. Jones, Jr., a pastor, entrepreneurial practioner and educator and community activist, has officially announced his candidacy for Davidson County Circuit Court Clerk. He says he is ready for the position.  “I have considered this position with much thought and prayer and ready to lead this department on Day One,” said Jones.

    Pastor Howard E. Jones, Jr.

Jones says he plans to usher into the office, a new era of leadership. He is dedicated to resolving and recording legal matters while upholding the following values: Fairness. Accessibility. Integrity. Responsiveness.

Jones, a community-minded Nashville native has a spirit of service.  His goals are to serve the people with honor and integrity and let the citizens know the Office of Circuit Court Clerk belongs to all the people.

Jackie Crum, a long time supporter, friend and member of his church, Fairfield M. B. Church says, “Pastor Jones is aptly equipped to serve the people in this position.  He knows what needs to be done and will do it.”

Some people seek leadership by going along to get along, or being in what is considered the right circles, “Jones is a man who will stand strong, even if he stands alone, because integrity in leadership is what he exudes, says Pastor Ron Parham, a long time friend and pastor of Edmondson Chapel Baptist Church.

Jones has had standing -room-only launch events to further undergird his quest to serve the people.

Well-known throughout Davidson County and Middle Tennessee, Jones plans to reach all segments of the county, before early voting begins in 2022.  He plans to go far beyond asking for their vote, he will share how he will lead the Office of Circuit Court Clerk; support the staff; communicate with the legal community and serve  all the citizens of Metropolitan Nashville-Davidson County.
