Nashville, TN (October 22, 2024) – Martin & Company Communications & Traffic Manager, Melanie Henry, has been named a SEMA Visionary 8.  This honor recognizes the future leaders with the brightest potential in the automotive aftermarket industry and are selected from SEMA’s 35 under 35 program by SEMA News. SEMA’s Visionary 8 nominees must be SEMA members, have active industry involvement, and demonstrate exceptional talent, innovation, integrity, success, and leadership. This year’s Visionary 8 honorees are the inaugural class and will be honored at the 2024 SEMA Show on Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. MTN in Central Hall, and will be highlighted in the February 2025 edition of SEMA News.

Henry, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a SEMA Future Leader Network member, joined Martin & Company in 2022. There, she provides communications and graphic design for all the agency’s automotive aftermarket clients. Additionally, she is the founder of Mel’s Car Shows. First developed in 2012, Mel’s Car Shows has grown considerably and has held over 75 car-related events. As of this year, she has raised over $265,000 for local non-profits and charities.

The SEMA Visionary 8 program is managed by Jose Escobar, SEMA manager of recognition programs. The SEMA 35 under 35 program recognizes SEMA trailblazers in all areas of the aftermarket including manufacturing, design, marketing, retail, events, media, and distribution.

Henry says, “I was excited to learn that I was chosen from the highly qualified field of 35 under 35 to be recognized as a Visionary 8. I got my love for everything automotive from my dad who would take me to car shows and spend time teaching me how to work on cars. In the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with major automotive manufacturers where I can share my car knowledge and learn even more about my passion, cars. I am excited to add to my busy schedule with a new adventure – Gearhead Garage Sale developed to sell hot rods, classics, and parts across the USA that will have a soft launch at SEMA.”

Martin & Company President, Zan Martin, says, “Melanie has a bright future in front of her. We are incredibly proud of Melanie and all that she has accomplished at Martin & Company and in her personal endeavors as an entrepreneur. She has an incredible depth of knowledge about classic cars and trucks with a hands-on understanding that makes her ideal for her position here. As a team, we applaud her successes as an entrepreneur and feel she well deserves this recognition.”
