FRANKLIN, TN — Macy’s Backstage The Outlet Store makes its grand Nashville-area debut on Saturday, August 26 inside Macy’s at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin. The new store marks the first Macy’s Backstage location in the greater Nashville area and the second in the state of Tennessee. Customers will now have a brand new outlet to find designer deals and fabulous finds, all at significant savings. Carving retail space within the second floor of the full-line department store, this new retail combination of an outlet store within a store gives shoppers a new discount destination located right inside of their favorite store, and in the heart of their favorite mall. With Macy’s Backstage, bargain hunters are in store for an exciting shopping experience where the thrill of the hunt leads to fashionable discoveries and to pocketbook delight. The grand opening will be at 10 a.m. and celebrated with $20 gift card giveaways for the first 100 customers and special events throughout the day.

A cross between a department store and an outlet, the Backstage experience delivers entertainment and an all-access, VIP pass to fashion and savings. Designed to spotlight new product on a faster turn-around, the smaller format of Macy’s Backstage allows shoppers to spot the latest trends and score the best deals in an easy-to-shop and easy-to-find store environment.

At approximately 17,700 square feet on the second level of Macy’s at CoolSprings Galleria, Macy’s Backstage refreshes its merchandise offerings with speed and style thanks to its stellar cast of sales associates, affectionately known as the Backstage Crew. Fashion, home, cosmetics, gifts, active wear and jewelry all have a starring role on the selling floor, and at great savings. Taking “Center Stage” on the red carpet will be a special dedicated space in the store where the latest trends, themes and styles get top billing to inspire the shopper. Trend boards will spotlight seasonal and “of-the-moment” looks from the store giving shoppers a snapshot of what is trending in fashion that day. Amenities such as convenient mobile check-out stations, free Wi-Fi, “Juice Bars” – designated charging stations, accessible parking, and three-way mirror installations in the fitting rooms will be the headliners of Macy’s newest fashion production.

Under the direction of its own team of buyers and planners, Macy’s Backstage outlet stores will offer a wide selection of merchandise from the previous season, as well as fresh merchandise from new brands and internationally recognized labels including celebrity brands. Apparel and accessories brands not currently carried at the full-line department store pop up at Macy’s Backstage outlet stores giving even more reason for fashion-forward shoppers to pop in and check out the weekly or daily deliveries. Keeping an eye out for great finds and spotting trends, the Macy’s Backstage team will curate each store to the fashion styles of the community it serves. Savvy shoppers will have a second chance to buy the sweater, handbag, dress and shoes they missed from last year, as well as new merchandise from the most coveted, cutting-edge designers, all at 20 to 80% off comparable department store prices.

In addition to a wide range of apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children, plus housewares and home textiles, Macy’s Backstage will feature an expanded assortment of home decor, bath and beauty products — including nail and hair care – as well as toys, tech, gadgets and more. The Backstage beauty shopper will be able to experience an open sell Beauty section featuring premium beauty brands. Whatever shoppers are on the hunt for, they are sure to find it and more, for less. Customers will be inspired to “Pin, Snap and Share” their looks on #macysbackstage.
