    Pinnacle Financial Partners Is the No. 4 Best Bank to Work for in the Nation Share

    NASHVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today American Banker announced that Pinnacle Financial Partners (Nasdaq/NGS: PNFP) earned the No. 4 spot on the publication’s list of the nation’s Best Banks to Work For in 2025, up from No. 5 from 2024. No other bank in the top 40 is anywhere close to Pinnacle’s asset size, with only two of a similar size at on the entire list of 90—and those coming in at Nos. 44 and 74.

    “We founded the firm 25 years ago with a vision of being the best bank and the best place to work for experienced professionals,” said Terry Turner, Pinnacle’s president and CEO. “Awards like Best Banks to Work for validate that we’re keeping that priority straight. When associates feel valued, trusted and supported and all pulling together in the same direction, the result is that our clients get the best we have to offer.”

    The annual list is compiled by the magazine and Best Companies Group. Pinnacle is No. 1 in its size category of banks with $10 billion or more in assets and has ranked No.1 or No. 2 in that size category since the inception of these rankings. Aside from Pinnacle, which has $56 billion in assets, the next largest bank in the top 20 has $15.9 billion. The highest-ranking bank of any comparable asset size was ranked at No. 44 with $65.9 billion. This is the firm’s 13th year to appear on the list, having been ranked ever since the program started in 2013.

    This is the latest in a string of national and regional workplace awards Pinnacle has earned in 2025, including:

    • No. 9 – FORTUNE‘s 2025 100 Best Companies to Work For in the U.S. (ninth year ranked)
    • No. 3 – FORTUNE’s 2025 Best Workplaces in Financial Services and Insurance
    • No. 4 – FORTUNE’s 2025 Best Workplaces for Women
    • No. 16 – PEOPLE Magazine’s 2025 list of Companies that Care (sixth year on the list)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in Atlanta – 2025 in the large companies category Atlanta Business Chronicle, 2025 (fifth consecutive year on the list)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in Jacksonville – 2025 in the medium company category, Jacksonville Business Journal (first year to compete)
    • No. 1 – Top Workplaces in Charlotte – 2025 in the large company category, Charlotte Magazine, (fifth consecutive year at No. 1)
    • No. 1 – Top Workplaces in Knoxville – 2025 in the mid-size category, Knox News, 2025 (eight of past nine years)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in the Triad – 2025 in the extra-large company category, Triad Business Journal (seven consecutive years at No. 1)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in Memphis – 2025 in the large companies category, Memphis Business Journal (10 years)
    • No. 1 – Top Workplaces in South Carolina – 2025 in the large company category Greenville, Columbus and Charleston Business magazines (fifth consecutive year at No. 1)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in the Triangle (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC) – 2025 in the large companies category, Triangle Business Journal (fourth year at No. 1)
    • No. 1 – Best Places to Work in Birmingham – 2025 in the medium-sized companies category, Birmingham Business Journal (first year to compete)
    • No. 2 – Best Places to Work in Huntsville/Madison County – 2025 in the small companies category, Huntsville/Madison County Chamber

    To be eligible for the Best Banks to Work For list, firms must have at least 50 employees working in the United States and be commercial or retail banks, or the commercial or retail banking units of diversified financial services companies. Selection is a two-step process. First, participating banks are evaluated on their workplace practices and policies. Second, employees are surveyed to assess their experiences in and attitudes about the workplace. Combined scores determine the final ranking.
