    Bellshire Elementary Hosts First Well-Dressed Wednesday Program

    NASHVILLE, TN — Bellshire Elementary School, led by Executive Principal Dr. Donald Black,

    Bellshire Elementary Schools hosts its first Well-Dressed Wednesday with fourth grade boys who were able to pick-out a necktie from through the support of 14 donors and partners.

    kicked off its first Well Dressed Wednesday program, March 6. The program is designed to model, instruct and encourage young men to dress appropriately for various occasions and allowed students the opportunity to interact with local elected officials such as Assessor of Property Vivian Wilhoite and Juvenile Court Clerk Lonnell Matthews, Jr. School partners, community leaders and other MNPS district employees joined for a lecture-style presentation communicating that first impressions are important and attire matters. The program demonstrates that a person’s attire has the potential to positively affect behavior and

    Herman Rubin and other members of the Assessor of Property staff. along with MNPS Academic Tutor Timothy Cunningham and the fourth grade boys for the program.

    “When you look good, you feel good and your attitude and behavior changes when you are dressed to impress,” said Wayne E. Simpson, MNPS Family Engagement Specialist. “Bellshire is very proud of the young men at our school who are taking to heart their education and their responsibility as leaders in their school.”

    The male students who participated were taught how to tie a necktie and were encouraged to wear them for appropriate occasions. Students also received a new shirt and tie to take home.
