ATLANTA (AP) — Georgia Republican Herschel Walker said Friday that his U.S. Senate campaign had raised $5.5 million in the first three months of 2022, a big haul that is still dwarfed by the $13.6 million that Democratic incumbent Raphael Warnock raised in the same period. NASHVILLE, TN – Grace is a 15-year-old Black girl in Michigan who was sent to juvenile detention after a Juvenile Court judge found her in violation of her probation for not doing online homework. Grace has ADHD and got special education services but when the COVID-19 pandemic forced her school to close, she struggled with the transition to online learning. (TN Tribune) — The House of Representatives today passed The CROWN Act, making Tennessee’s statehouse the first in the deep South to approve legislation prohibiting discrimination against natural hairstyles. Senate Bill 136, sponsored by Sen. Raumesh Akbari and Rep. Karen Camper, passed the House Monday on a vote of 50–25. The Senate approved the measure last May.
