Wente unveiled five new Vanderbilt Trailblazer portraits to a crowd gathered Oct. 18 in the Mary McClure Taylor Lobby of Kirkland Hall.  The five portraits honored Kate Lupton, David Williams II, K.C. NASHVILLE, TN —The Nashville Fire Department is mourning the loss of longtime NFD firefighter Retired Assistant Chief Jerry Smith. Chief Smith passed on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Following retirement Chief Smith returned to work part-time with the Nashville Office of Emergency Management managing the Emergency Support Unit. NASHVILLE, TN — Former State Senator Reggie Tate has passed away at the age of 65, according to Tennessee Black Caucus of State Legislators Chairman G. A. Hardaway.
