Red Clay State Historic Park officials today opened a new interactive exhibit about the history of the Cherokee people. Through an artificial intelligence avatar, visitors to the exhibit can ask questions about the history, culture, and significance of the park and the Trail of Tears, the displacement of thousands of people by the Indian Removal Act of 1830. Nashville, Tenn- The Board of Judicial Conduct has issued a Public Reprimand for General Sessions Judge R. Steven Randolph. The judge was found to have presided over a matter in which he had an interest when he ordered a defendant to pay him money, even though he was the judge hearing the matter. NASHVILLE – Effective immediately, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture Division of Forestry (TDF) is suspending public access to the eastern half of Franklin State Forest in Franklin and Marion Counties. This step follows serious threats against the safety of visitors to and professionals working within the forest. This week, criminals claimed to have spiked areas of the forest where loggers are conducting a harvest operation.
