Governor Bill Lee appointed Paul Hagerman and Marques Young to newly created Violent Criminal Court judgeships in the 30th Judicial District. These positions were established by the Tennessee General Assembly during the 2026 legislative session.
Mr. Hagerman currently serves as Deputy District Attorney General at the Shelby County District Attorney General’s Office. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Vanderbilt University and juris doctor at New York University School of Law.
Mr. Young currently serves as Deputy Criminal Chief in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Tennessee, within the Department of Justice. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Memphis and juris doctor at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
The 30th Judicial District serves Shelby County.
