NASHVILLE, TN – The East Bank came alive May 30, as hundreds of local residents, families, and community members gathered for the Eastpoint Neighborhood Kickoff Party. The event, held Saturday, May 30, was co-hosted by master developer The Fallon Company and Elmington Capital, the affordable housing partner for the neighborhood’s first building on Parcel G. The public festival marked the official launch of Eastpoint – a new 30-acre, mixed-use district designed to transform former surface parking lots into a vibrant, people-first neighborhood.

The community celebration turned the “Parcel G” development site into a lively festival. Attendees enjoyed local entertainment, including a high-energy performance by Stratford STEM Magnet High School Marching Band, live music, interactive lawn games, photo booths, and appearances by Nashville’s favorite sports mascots.

Local flavors and culture took center stage, featuring a curated market highlighting neighborhood vendors alongside local food trucks. Families enjoyed the dedicated children’s zones, which were packed with an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, balloon artists, and a large, construction-themed sandbox. On the artistic front, local non-profit Creative Girls Rock hosted an interactive art installation, guiding community members of all ages in live-painting of a massive, collaborative Eastpoint mural to commemorate the neighborhood’s first day.

“The vision for Eastpoint has always been about putting the people of Nashville first,” said Michael Fallon, CEO of The Fallon Company. “We did not want to mark this day with executives in hard hats behind a fence. It was about opening up the site and celebrating what this neighborhood will become alongside the community. Eastpoint is being built for the people who will live, dine, work, shop, celebrate, and even drop their children for childcare here. So they are the ones who should be at this event, celebrating Eastpoint with their families. These families, and hundreds of neighbors who turned out today are the character of our new neighborhood and this is the energy that we will provide at Eastpoint for generations to come.”

The emotional highlight of the morning program occurred during the community remarks. In a unique twist on traditional construction ceremonies, a group of local Nashville children and youth were invited onto the main stage. Alongside Mayor Freddie O’Connell, LC Wallace of Elmington Capital and The Fallon Company CEO Michael Fallon, the kids took hold of the ceremonial shovels for a special youth-led dirt turn, symbolically placing Nashville’s future generations at the absolute center of the neighborhood’s identity.

The event provided a fresh opportunity for the public to engage with the large-scale architectural renderings of the district, this time with members of The Fallon Company team on hand to answer questions and discuss the vision. Residents got an up-close look at the evolving, pedestrian-friendly master plan for Parcel C – slated to feature tree-lined streets and vibrant public spaces. The display also highlighted the future footprint of Eastpoint Flats on Parcel G, the district’s initial mixed-use residential building that will anchor the community with neighborhood retail and a major childcare facility.

The Fallon Company will continue to share regular updates and upcoming community programming at EastpointNashville.com as the Eastpoint neighborhood begins to take shape.
