NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Meharry Medical College School of Medicine Center of Excellence is accepting applications for its upcoming ACT Prep Course, designed to help high school students strengthen academic skills, improve test-taking strategies and build confidence as they prepare for the ACT.

The course will run from September 26 through November 7, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Meharry Medical College’s West Basic Science Building, 1023 21st Avenue North in Nashville.

Students will receive targeted instruction in the four ACT subject areas — English, math, reading and science — along with test-taking and time-management strategies, practice questions, skill-building exercises and guidance to help identify academic strengths and areas for improvement. The program also focuses on ACT test-day preparation and overall college readiness.

Students selected to participate in the program will receive a $500 stipend.

The registration deadline is September 4, 2026. Interested students may apply at https://form.jotform.com/262146186191155 or contact the Center of Excellence at coe-bsmd@mmc.edu for additional information.

The Center of Excellence works to strengthen the pipeline of students pursuing medical and other health professions through academic enrichment and educational opportunities.
