NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville Repertory Theatre’s upcoming production “John Proctor Is the Villain” raises some intriguing questions regarding exactly who is and isn’t the bad person in a particular situation. Kimberly Bellower’s dramatic comedy features a high school English class in the process of taking a second look at the classic work “The Crucible.” Their reexamination sparks a debate, and the conversations begin exposing some uncomfortable truths about such issues as consent, credibility and which stories society protects vs. those they expose.
The production will be presented at TPAC’s Johnson Theater from October 2-18. The cast includes Lucas Calhoun, Norah Younger, Aubrey Bagley, Brityn Ramsey, Ella Saliba, Advika Ravishankar, Lorenzo Rivera, Brent Bentley, McKenna Steel, Christina Brielle and Benit Hensley.
Lauren Shouse is the Director of “John Proctor Is the Villain.” The other members of the creative team include Choreographer Melissa Steadman, Scenic Designer Gary C. Hoff, Costume Designer Melissa K.
