NASHVILLE, Tenn.(TN Tribune) – YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee hosted its 10th annual Wine Women & Shoes, presented by Regions, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel on Saturday, April 23. The event featured Nashville’s most extraordinary women gathering, shopping and bidding to raise money for those who are experiencing domestic violence in Middle Tennessee.

    • Wine Women & Shoes co-chairs Toni Francis Davis and Lethia Mann, and President and CEO of YWCA Nashville and Middle Tennessee Sharon K. Roberson
    • Cameron Simmons and friends with JP Morgan
    • Angela and Jeremy Wynn
    • Julie Wood and Susanne Shephard Post

This year’s event raised more than $375,000 to support the 65-bed Weaver Domestic Violence Center, 24-Hour Crisis & Support Helpline and Textline, adult and children’s counseling, Abbie’s Safe Home Pet Shelter, Re-New at the YWCA, community education, and transitional housing programs. NewsChannel 5 anchor and YWCA board member Vicki Yates served as emcee, and the event featured marketplace vendors including Kendra Scott, Dress for Success, and P. Sherrod & Co.

“We enjoyed connecting in person with returning and new attendees on Saturday,” said Wine Women & Shoes co-chairs Toni Francis Davis and Lethia Mann.

“We’re grateful that the proceeds will support those who are fleeing violent homes and beginning a new life.” More than 350 attendees enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon that included a live and silent auction, Best in Shoe Contest, Wall of Wine, and Key to the Closet. Guests were reminded of the important work that the YWCA does every day during the mission moment, as three women shared their stories of domestic abuse and survival. Watch the mission moment here.

YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee is thankful to all the event’s sponsors, including Regions, Bank of Tennessee, Deloitte, HCA Healthcare and TriStar Health, Amazon, Values Partnership, LBMC, and Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville.
